James Buchanan (1791-1868) was elected in 1856 as a Democrat. Primarilty was appointed because he ministers to the Court of St. James (London) and was out of the country and was not offended anyone timultuous in the past four years. (Franklin Pierce, Buchanan predecessor, has the distinction of being the only president not elected to) be nominated by his party. Era of Pennsylvania, but tended to support slavery, to explain that although he was completely against slavery, supported the constitution, and a strict interpretation, he had no other choice but to defend. Buchanan, in his third annual message, even claims that most slaves were treated kindly supported by their owners. He supported the resolution were selected Lecompton Kansas as a slave state.

Buchanan sat idly by the seven slave states dropped from the Union in the four months between election and inaugaration Lincoln Lincoln, and even once said he was "the last president of the United States." Buchanan was by Stephen maneuverd Douglas for the Democratic nomination in 1860 and did his best to work for the defeat of Lincoln. It was from 1857 to 1861.

Buchanan never married, and even Rufus King (Alabama lived a slave-owner), Vice-President Pierce, for fourteen years, when both senators. Most of Buchanan; s closest friends are the senators from the South. King was, after all, a homosexual, and there are theories that Buchanan was. Andrew Jackson King as "Aunt Fancy" and Buchanan, "Aunt Nancy." When Jackson Buchanan, appointed Minister of Russia, "Jackson said," It was the place that you can send. "Probably one of the offices there with more experience than Buchanan is one of the five worst presidents are listed, and why.

Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924), also had the least experience. I had less than two years as governor of New Jersey ... it was ... no more political experience when he was elected President in 1913-1921. Nevertheless, he became an expert in foreign policy. He saved Europe FWWL rom and tried in vain to form the League of Nations, which was a forerunner. The United Nations, twenty years later.

Lincoln's only political experience was a term as a congressman from Illinois from 1847 to 1849, twelve years before he is not working and we all know President, if shappy.

No pages together, here we can say that we do not know what constitutes adequate preparation for the presidency. Conservative columnist George Will said in an interview a few weeks ago, and it is a valid argument.

I think that is why Abraham Lincoln is in the $ 5 bill and the penny, and James Buchanan is not on a U.S. currency. Yep, was a great president.
